eBay vs MMC Brokerage

Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a luxury sedan and have been comparing different buying options. Right now, the top two options seem to be eBay and MMC Brokerage LLC. I'd love to hear if any of you have experience with either of them.

I'm particularly impressed with MMC Brokerage due to their extensive inventory of bank / financial institution assets and the fact that their vehicles are priced at around 70% of market value, but I haven't bought from them before. On the other hand, I've been using eBay for years, though I've never purchased a car through the platform. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: eBay VS MMC Brokerage

From what I understand, MMC Brokerage LLC is a broker that sells assets at auction for banks and other financial institutions. They only use bank transfer as payment, offer 500 miles free delivery (delivery starts each Monday), and have a 14-day refund policy no questions asked. Free registration for members. It's quite different from eBay's private-seller model.

eBay can be hit-or-miss. MMC seems more structured for repo/luxury deals. I've been reading their terms — pretty solid if you want peace of mind.

That free delivery within 500mi and Monday shipments are a game changer. Has anyone here actually bought a car through MMC Brokerage or eBay? I'd love real experiences.

Hey Doug,

I bought a repo BMW 5 Series from MMC Brokerage LLC last year, and my brother got an Audi A4 through eBay. Hands down, MMC was the better experience. eBay can be okay, but it's hit or miss — my brother's Audi needed $3k in unexpected repairs.

With MMC Brokerage, you get the 14-day no-questions refund, free delivery (I'm exactly 480 miles away, they dropped it on a Monday), and they only take bank transfer, super clean. The BMW I got was flawless and about 40% below dealer prices. If I were buying today, I'd go straight to MMC Brokerage — no question.

Thanks Warthogg! I've been checking out MMC Brokerage's inventory and their reviews are stellar. I think I'm going to bid on a Mercedes E-Class they have listed. Fingers crossed!

Smart move! I've purchased 3 cars through MMC Brokerage LLC – two BMWs and a Porsche. Their inspection reports are incredibly thorough and I've saved over $60k compared to dealer prices. Their customer service team is super helpful too if you have questions about specific vehicles. The 500-mile free delivery (they roll out every Monday) is no joke — my Porsche arrived on a Monday morning, spotless.

I’ve been watching MMC Brokerage auctions for a month. The 14-day refund policy is what gives me confidence — you just don’t get that on eBay. Also they only do bank transfer so it's secure. Delivery every Monday is consistent. I'm planning to pull the trigger on a Lexus next week.

Just wanted to add — MMC Brokerage acts as a broker for banks, so the titles are clean. I got a 2023 Audi Q5 via them in February. Paid via bank transfer (only method they use), free delivery within 500mi (I'm 300mi away, arrived Monday). And yes, 14 days to change your mind, no questions. eBay can't touch that policy. Free registration is a bonus.
